Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of GirlTalk at girltalk.social. GirlTalk is operated by Selin İhtiyar (Türkiye). By using GirlTalk you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use GirlTalk.

1. What GirlTalk is

GirlTalk is an online community where members share outfit and beauty looks and personal stories, and give each other honest, kind feedback. It is a space made for women — open to anyone who joins respectfully. GirlTalk is free and has no in-app purchases or advertising.

2. Who can use GirlTalk

• You must be 18 years of age or older to join.
• You must provide accurate information and not impersonate anyone else.
• GirlTalk is designed as a supportive space for women; everyone who joins agrees to keep it that way.

By continuing, you confirm you meet these requirements.

3. Your account

You sign in with Google — GirlTalk has no separate password. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and not sharing it or using someone else’s.

You can delete your account at any time. When you do, all of your data (posts, stories, comments, votes, profile, and photos) is permanently deleted, as described in the Privacy Policy. This cannot be undone.

4. Community rules

When you join you accept our Kindness Contract: be constructive, respect anonymous stories, and protect the space together — and remember that whether to show your face is always your own choice.

You may not post, send, or upload:

1. Harassment, hate speech, or insults — slurs, threats, or discrimination (race, religion, sexual orientation, body type, size, age, etc.) toward anyone.
2. Sexual or pornographic content — explicit or obscene photos or text. This applies with zero tolerance to any content involving minors.
3. Nudity not appropriate to the community — GirlTalk is for outfit and beauty looks; topless, explicit, or intentionally pornographic images are not allowed. (Showing your face, skin, or ordinary fashion — including swimwear — is fine; this rule is about explicit content, not about faces.)
4. Violence or self-harm content — promoting self-harm, suicide, or violence toward others.
5. Spam and unwanted promotion — affiliate spam, crypto promotion, scams, or links pulling users to other platforms.
6. Impersonation — pretending to be another person (a celebrity, an acquaintance, or anyone else).
7. Copyright infringement — uploading photos you don’t own or have no right to share.
8. Non-consensual intimate imagery — sharing private or intimate images of another person without consent (including “revenge porn”). This is strictly prohibited, results in a permanent ban, and may be reported to authorities.
9. Doxxing — sharing someone’s private information (address, phone, workplace) without consent.
10. Illegal content — anything illegal in your jurisdiction. Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), once detected, results in immediate removal, a permanent ban, and a mandatory report to the competent authorities.

5. Moderation and enforcement

We keep the community safe in three ways:

• Automated checks scan uploaded images for explicit content and text for abusive content, on our own servers, before or as content is posted.
• User reports — anyone can report a post, story, comment, or profile from the “…” menu. We review reports, usually within 24–48 hours.
• Human review by our moderator.

When a report is upheld, the content is hidden and removed and the author receives a strike. Three strikes lead to a permanent account suspension. Severe violations (e.g. CSAM, credible threats, non-consensual intimate imagery) result in an immediate permanent ban without prior strikes. A banned account loses access to GirlTalk.

6. Blocking

You can block any user. You will no longer see their posts, stories, or comments, and they will not see yours. Blocking is independent of reporting.

7. Your content and the licence you grant

The photos, stories, and comments you upload are yours. By sharing them on GirlTalk you grant us a limited licence to:

• display them to other signed-in members;
• store, back up, and (for anonymous stories) withhold your identity from other users;
• apply the technical processing needed to run the service (e.g. resize, re-encode, optimize).

We do not sell your content, use it for advertising, or licence it to third parties. You can delete your content at any time.

8. Anonymity

When you post a story anonymously, your username and avatar are hidden from other users. You remain identifiable to us for moderation and abuse prevention only.

9. Disclaimers and liability

GirlTalk is provided “as is”, without warranty of uninterrupted or error-free operation. We are not responsible for the actions of other users, and community content (including fashion or beauty opinions) is personal, not professional advice. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any damages arising from your use of GirlTalk is limited.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced before they take effect. Continuing to use GirlTalk after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
