my boyfriend doesn't eat sugar, so every cake i make for him is a little experiment. this one is dates and cocoa and nothing else — the small one was the test run and the big one is the real thing, cooling on my mom's counter. do i risk a date caramel between the layers or keep it simple

been practicing pouring for like two weeks straight and i FINALLY got a little tulip today… ok it's a slightly lopsided tulip but it's MY lopsided tulip. rate it honestly, i can take it 😌
