first date in two years and i didn't cancel

i've cancelled every date for two years. found an excuse every single time. tonight i put on the outfit, drove there before i could talk myself out of it, and… it was actually lovely? we closed the café down. i forgot i could feel like this. proud of myself for just showing up.
